This Privacy Policy explains how CINAR Technologies ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects the information of players who use the Gamers: Find Teammates mobile application (the "Service"). We take a privacy-first approach tailored to competitive gaming experiences, matchmaking, and community trust.

Information You Provide

  • Account Registration: Name, email, password hash, authentication tokens, and optional third-party login identifiers.
  • Gaming Profiles: Game selections, preferred roles, manual rank entries, playstyle tags, microphone availability, and languages.
  • Connection Content: LFG posts, lobby names, invitations, chat messages, and ratings you submit for teammates.

Information We Collect Automatically

  • Usage Metrics: Feature interactions, lobby activity, match durations, post expirations, and in-app navigation patterns.
  • Device & App Data: Device model, operating system, language, push notification token, and crash diagnostics.
  • Gameplay Verification (Phase 2): Subject to your consent, Riot Games and Steam APIs may provide verified rank and match data for trust scoring.

How We Use Your Information

Matchmaking & LFG

Surface compatible teammates by aligning ranks, preferred roles, regions, and playstyle tags.

Trust & Safety

Maintain reputation scores, enforce rating requirements, and detect suspicious activity.

Team Communication

Enable lobby chat, direct messages, and notifications when connection requests update.

Notifications

Send push and in-app alerts for new matches, rating reminders, and clan invitations.

Serve localized experiences, store preferred languages, and surface regional teammates.

Monitor platform integrity, protect against abuse, and comply with applicable regulations.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared only with trusted partners that enable core app functionality:

  • Firebase & Google Cloud: Authentication, Firestore data storage, Cloud Functions, and push notification delivery. Data is encrypted in transit and protected by Google-managed infrastructure.
  • Expo & React Native Services: Build tooling, crash reporting, and over-the-air updates to keep the app stable and secure.
  • Third-Party Game APIs (Phase 2): With your authorization we may request verified rank data from Riot Games or Steam. Only the data needed for verification is retrieved.
  • Legal & Compliance: We may disclose information to comply with laws, enforce our Terms of Use, or respond to lawful requests from public authorities.

Data Security & Retention

We implement technical and organizational safeguards suitable for real-time gaming services, including secure authentication, role-based access controls, and monitoring for abnormal activity.

LFG posts, chat messages, and notification data are retained for as long as needed to provide the Service and to maintain trust scores. Expired posts and inactive lobbies are automatically pruned. You may request deletion of your account data at any time.

Your Rights & Controls

  • View and update game profiles, languages, and region preferences directly in the app.
  • Delete LFG posts, chat messages, or revoke connection requests from their respective screens.
  • Request account deletion or export of personal data by contacting our support team.

International Players

Gamers supports multiple regions (NA, EUW, EUNE, TR, KR, BR, LAN, LAS, OCE, RU) and languages. Your data may be processed in the country where you reside or in other locations where our trusted providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside your residence as necessary to deliver matchmaking at scale.

Safety, Eligibility & Policy Updates

The Service is intended for players 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect feature launches such as API verification, clan management, or new monetization tools. We will post updates within the app and revise the "Last Updated" date above.
